What do you tell your friends about what you do at work?
The Mechanical designer supports the design services for all ongoing mechanical equipment, delivers design proposals, which will support the capital investment projects. Interface and coordinate with Technology engineering managers or Project managers for ongoing projects and tasks, setup meetings and layout reviews when needed.
What your tasks will be.
- Deliver mechanical designs / layouts for the different processes.
- Drafting of P&ID’s for the different processes.
- Take dimensions on site, propose optimal technical solution.
- Follow engineering standards and practices.
- Verification of scope specifications in order to design mechanical systems.
- Update equipment layout.
- Archive engineering and design information (P&ID’s), drawings and related reference lists / drawing lists.
Your profile.
- Having a good knowledge of computer software tools (AutoCAD, 3D modeling, Navisworks, MS office, …).
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team with engineering and Project managers, work within deadlines.
- Having the ability to create and maintain a positive relationship.
- Being organized in archiving documents and drawings (supported by different software tools).
- Education : Bachelor in mechanical engineering
- Languages : English
- Experience level : 5+ years
